It’s 1989. Kabira is praying for her big break as a Bollywood playback singer. After gaining some success from a radio jingle ad for “Fair & Albino” (an Indian skin whitening cream) Kabira gets a shot at fame when she’s asked to sing lead for a Bollywood film recording – just four days before she’s married and shipped off to America! The project teams her up with Felipe, a charming Indo-Filipino singer who sees something in her, despite the fact that she’s dark-skinned…
