Retrocity's Jackson Spotlight

 Image

Michael Jackson gave us some of the most sing-able, most danceable, and most unforgettable songs of the 20th century. Musicians and fans all over the world have felt compelled to honour MJ's passing in 2009 with a wide variety of performances and retrospectives. Retrocity, the popular Toronto a cappella ensemble dedicated to the hits of the 80's, celebrates the work of MJ and his talented family with a special spotlight concert. These vocalists are thrilled to bring you the very best of Michael Jackson's catalogue, along with a few other tasty 80's treats.

The bold, textured, a cappella arrangements of Retrocity capture an astonishing range of instrumental imitation. Righteous guitar riffs, sensual sax solos, dope drum beats and sizzling synths... all performed with the human voice.
